First use a pencil to draw a circle with Exlicon MX by placing the hole of Exlicon MX base piece on top of the center of the circle. Then use a pencil on the ruler to draw a flawless circle. 

Mark 12 evenly spaced points along the circumference. Use the protractor function of Exlicon MX to do this. Place the base piece of Exlicon MX on the center and mark points along the circumference such that each is 30 degrees apart from the previous one.

Then pick every other point and place a ruler to connect the point and the center of the circle. Use one pencil to hold down the midpoint (between the center of the circle and the point chosen on the perimeter) while using another pencil to trace out a circle. 

This newly drawn circle has a radius half of the circular wood board. Repeat six times to draw out 6 identical and evenly spaced circles on your wood board. Draw the diameter of the six newly drawn circles such that the diameter connects the center of the wood board and the perimeter. 

Add parallel arcs to some parts of the newly drawn circle. After that, you may start using marker pens to color the wooden ornament. Start by re-drawing the pencil outlines and color in some regions as you like.

Use dots to decorate the space between the two parallel arcs. Finally draw lines to connect the six remaining dots of the perimeter to the circle to the circles.
