Golden Ratio Applied to Our Design

The golden ratio is a special number, about 1.618, often seen in nature and design. It’s known for creating beauty and balance. Represented by the symbol φ = (1 + √5) / 2, this ratio is admired for its pleasing proportions.

It works by dividing a line or shape into two parts, where the larger part divided by the smaller equals the whole divided by the larger. Used in art and architecture, the golden ratio helps create designs that look harmonious and visually appealing.

We draw inspiration from the golden ratio, a beautiful proportion found in nature and architecture, and incorporate it into our Exlicon L Golden Ratio Tool Set (Black). This toolset captures the essence of balanced design, making it perfect for creating harmonious shapes.

The Exlicon L Golden Ratio Tool Set (Black) is designed for various fields like architecture, art, graphic design, diy and crafts, industrial design, and fashion. With its precise measurements and versatile features, artists can use it to create visually appealing and well-balanced designs effortlessly.

The Exlicon L Golden Ratio Tool Set (Black) is perfect for graphic designers, architects, and other creatives. It helps users create eye-catching designs with balanced layouts, golden ratio grids, and harmonious proportions, making artwork visually appealing.

Architects can use this toolset to apply the golden ratio in their projects, drawing proportional shapes and finding the best dimensions for building elements. It streamlines the design process by combining multiple functions into one tool, ensuring precision and efficiency in creating balanced, harmonious designs.

Exlicon L Golden Ratio Tool Set: Circle Tool (Black)

How many circles can be drawn?
The Circle Tool's design allows for a wide range of radius sizes, enabling the drawing of up to 112 different circles.

What is the size of the Circle Tool?

The diameter of Circle Tool is 100 mm.

17 Small Circles on the Tool

The tool features 17 small circles, with diameters from 1mm to 10mm.

Three group of Circles with Radii in Golden Ratio
The image shows 8 lines and holes arranged in three groups of circles, all following the golden ratio. Each group starts with circles of 5 mm, 10 mm, and 15 mm radii, marked clearly for easy identification.

    Group 1 (Semi-Circle)
    5mm, 8mm, 13mm, 21mm, 34mm in radii

    Group 2 ( Square )
    15 mm, 24mm, 39mm in radii

    Group 3 ( Number-Marking )
    10 mm, 16mm, 26mm, 42mm in radii

3 various Width & Length of semi-circle holes

This tool is perfect for artists and designers who want to create bold lines with marker pens. It includes semi-circle line holes, 3mm wide, with lengths from 8.56mm to 53.3mm, great for drawing with markers. It also has 2mm-wide line holes, ranging from 68.2mm to 112.9mm, and eight additional 1.1mm-wide line holes for precise work.

    Three different measurement scales
The Circle Tool includes three rulers:
    - Inch ruler: length of 1 inch, width of 1 mm
    - Millimeter ruler: length of 35.5 mm/ 3.5cm, width 1 mm
    - Circumference ruler: length of 18 cm

Two rows of holes encircling the periphery
The outer track has Waterdrop holes made for thicker pen refills to create dots easily.

The tool includes rounded rectangles, letting users draw dots with a ballpoint pen, adding flexibility beyond marker pens. It also has holes spaced 10 degrees apart, perfect for beginners to design grids or mandalas with ease.

    Markings Around The Tool

The holes marked with triangles are designed to label the largest circle, which has a 95 mm radius.

The holes marked with squares are designed to label the circle which has a 89.5 mm radius.

The holes marked with waterdrops are designed to label the circles which have 45.5 and 47.5 mm radius.

Exlicon L Golden Ratio Tool Set: Triangle Tool (Black)

    What can we draw?

The tool features seven sets of golden triangles: three on the front starting at 80mm, 90mm, and 100mm, and two on the back starting at 60mm and 70mm.

Group 1: Solid Triangle Markings (Front)

The Triangle Tool's front side features solid triangle-marked holes used to designate a series of golden triangles, starting from 100 mm in size.

Group 2: Solid Rectangle Markings (Front)

Rectangular markings label the golden triangle set that starts at 90 mm.

Group 3: Hollow Triangle Markings (Front)

Hollow Triangle markings label the golden triangle set that starts at 80 mm.

    Group 4: Semi-Circle Markings (Back)

The Triangle Tool's back side features semi circle marked holes used to designate a series of golden triangles, starting from 60 mm in size.

Group 5: Hollow Rectangle Markings (Back)

Hollow Rectangle markings label the golden triangle set that starts at 70 mm

    Group 6 & 7: Inverted & Upward Triangles (Back)

The back of the tool has two sets of triangle holes designed in the golden ratio. The 2mm set includes inverted triangles, and the 3mm set includes upward triangles.

Draw Circles up to 90mm Radius
Circles can be drawn with a radius of 7.2 to 90 mm.

Rulers in INCH and CM units
The Triangle Tool includes both Imperial and Metric rulers:
    - Centimeter ruler: length of 10 cm/100mm.
    - Inch ruler: length of 3.5 inches.

    What can we draw?

The overall size is 100 mm * 70.5 mm.

3 Groups of Golden Spiral Lines

There are 3 spiral lines with radii of 55.7 mm, 51.7 mm, and 47.4 mm. These lines can form 3 groups of Fibonacci golden ratio lines.

    Golden Triangle

The tool includes a set of four marked golden triangles. The outer triangle in this set has holes spaced 5mm apart.

    Largest Circle Radius Size
By using two pens, circles ranging from 5 to 84 mm in radius can be drawn.
